Terry Hicks

Managing Director

Terry has 35 years experience of running his own business in the transport industry. He established T J Hicks Transport in 1978, based in Newport; this was a general haulage company.

Terry originally concentrated the business on and around the steel industry in South Wales. In 2001 Terry decided to re-brand the Company to Hicks Logistics Ltd and spread its operation into the plant hire and construction sector. Since then the Company has grown from strength to strength, being voted one of the ‘Fastest Fifty Growing’ companies in Wales on a number of occasions. Terry holds a National CPC Qualification.

Gill Jones

Contracts Manager

Gill has been with the Company since 2001. Gill is responsible for the smooth running of contracts with all our customers. Gill’s significant experience in transport over 25 years has contributed to an excellent relationship with our clients.

Lucie Stallard

Accounts Manager

Lucie started working for the Company in 2005. Lucie is responsible for the efficient running of both the accounts and payroll departments thanks to her 20 years experience of working in accounts.

Simon Hicks

Transport Manager

Simon began working for the family business in early 2009 after achieving a LLB Law degree at Bristol University. Simon is an International as well as a National CPC holder and is responsible for all driver and vehicle regulations. Simon ensures all drivers and vehicles are compliant with the many transport laws and regulations to ensure the delivery will always arrive on time and without fuss.

Richard Hicks

Fleet Manager

Richard has been working for the family business since 2004. After completing his apprenticeship working as a workshop fitter, he is now managing the servicing and maintenance of the fleet.

Richard ensures that all our vehicles are kept in premium condition, meaning loss of valuable road time is kept to minimum.

Leanne Martin

Operatons Manager

Leanne began working for Hicks Logistics in 2013 to head up our pallet network  and has since moved up through the business to take a leading role as our Operations Manager.

After working as an Assistant to our former Ops Manager, Leanne assumed the role in May 2016 and works with the supporting team to ensure that all General Haulage and Operational matters are dealt with in a quick and efficient manner.

Leanne’s focus on excellent customer service and attention to detail has ensured that all goods arrive at their destination on time and without issue.

Steve Blackmore

Business Development Manager

Steve joined Hicks Logistics in May 2015 as our Business Development Manager. His day to day role sees him working with regular customers on the General Haulage part of the business. Tasked with adding new customers to our portfolio across all areas from storage to pallet network Hicks are looking to Steve to help with the continued growth of Hicks Logistics.


New to the haulage industry after joining us from the removal industry, Steve has been keen to bring his Account Management experience to the logistics industry. Steve is responsible for all new business for any inquiries please get in touch.
