Successfully operating since 1978, Hicks Logistics is one of Wales’ largest logistics companies. Based in a state of the art complex which was built in 2008, Hicks Logistics run a varied fleet of over 60 vehicles nationwide. We are a family owned and run company that celebrated 35 years of trading in 2013. In 2019 we were acquired by ET Holdings Ltd who own other well know Transport companies - Evans Transport Ltd and Seymour Transport.
Hicks Logistics operate with a wide range of vehicles starting from 3.5 tonne courier vans up to 44 tonne artic vehicles. We can deliver anything from a single pallet right up to full loads and offer competitive rates on any haulage requirement. We have an array of tautliners some with tail lift facility to provide self-offload and flatbed vehicles which serve a multitude of sectors including the timber, construction, manufacturing and retail sectors.
Our haulage team offer a wealth of knowledge and can offer advice and plan more complex haulage requirements. We are a FORS Silver operator and run both Articulated and rigid vehicles to fulfil this requirement. We also have a waste carriers licence. All our drivers undergo regular training to ensure goods arrive with the service levels expected.

In 2013 we expanded to include new 20,000ft2 warehouses and can now offer storage and warehousing facilities with dry loading. Hicks Logistics are a one stop shop for all of your distribution and warehousing needs.

We operate a fleet of curtain side and beaver tail type rigids.
All the curtain side rigids are equipped with tail lifts and the beaver tails are equipped with ramps winches and side protection.
The rigid vehicle is perfect for getting into places with tight access where an artic vehicle will not go. Our rigids are able to go all over the country which gives you peace of mind that your goods are on dedicated transport and do not have to be handled multiple times such as when going through a pallet network.

Within our fleet we also run both artic and rigid Moffet vehicles these are able to travel all over the UK. Within the group we have both curtain side and flat moffets but only curtain rigids with Moffet capability. These vehicles can take a payload of around 25 tonne. Our Moffets are based at nearly all our depots which enables a speedy and efficient service.
The moffet is a forklift which rides on the back of the vehicle which means the customer doesn’t have to provide loading and offloading facilities. Our moffets are capable of carrying between 2 – 3 tonne.
The moffet enables a flexible solution to place product a bit further away from the vehicle which a Hiab vehicle are not always able to do. They are also very good at being able to go over rough terrain with great a flexibility you loose with a tail lift facility. These machines are perfect for deliveries into the construction and agricultural and roadside deliveries etc. we can also help save costs by using one moffet to unload multiple loads to the same destination when goods are sent on the same day.

Hicks Logistics are one of the largest privately owned low loader operators in the country. We are able to carry a large array of machinery around the country from tracked excavators to small tractors. All our low loaders come equipped with ramps and winches which enable us to operate in a safe and controlled manner.
Our speciality is in the movement of powered access equipment with all our plant drivers having the IPAF course which enable them to operate load and unload and demonstrate the machines to clients.
We have low loaders based at all our depots so we are never too far away from being able to give a competitive price.
Throughout the group we are also able to offer STGO cat 2 loads and have the relevant equipment needed to undertake abnormal loads
